I like 7-Up because it isn't as horribly sweet like Sprite. Squirt is better than any of them, though. Bitter lemon is good, too.

The Lemon Lime seems stronger than Sprite.  It's not a bad soda, IMO.  I think it would go *really* great with this bottle of vodak I have here, but I haven't yet tried it, as I'm more of a rum drinker.

Back in college I got one of those MAKE 7   UP YOURS  shirts (still have it) and wore it one day while I was working at the campus TV station. I was in the control room standing behind the window to the newsfloor. I had my back to the window and was looking at the wall-o-monitors. I did not realize they were going to do a shot at the "breaking news desk" which was right in front of the window, looking in.

When they went to that shot, there I was in the background telling the entire town "UP YOURS."

I was told not to wear that shirt in the newsroom again.

I had one and it didn't taste like much of anything. It was very easy to drink the whole bottle though. I prefer 7-UP, especially their simply 7-UP made with real sugar.

Love Squirt. Like Starry and Sprite. 7 Up . . . I'd buy that for you.

Starry is an improvement over Sierra Mist, though. More citrusy taste.

Yes.  In fact, it even has a (very small) amount of grapefruit juice in it.  (The label says "1% Juice", IIRC.)

As for Starry, it tastes exactly like Sprite, IMHO.  Different than Sierra Mist and 7-Up.

I didn't realize that was a replacement for sierra mist.  Loved sierra mist because it was one of the few sodas with sugar instead of hfcs. Haven't seen it in ages though, obviously because it was pulled and replaced, as I'm learning.

Gave the starry a shot a couple weeks ago, 20 ounce bottle poured into a tumbler full of ice.

Stronger on the lemon/lime flavor is definitely a true statement.  No surprise that it tastes good because it's also big pile of sugar and that's why I don't buy this stuff very often!   Like others in these threads state, save the calories for treating yourself to some delicious squirt soda instead.

/anyone remember "citra" back in the late 90's?

Drinks of this flavor are consumed when one has the stomach upset, as I was taught as a wee child. We have three or four brands, all diet, all of which my wife drinks as necessary. I don't get sick much.

The European mixtures of both 7up and Sprite taste better than the American mix -- more lemony and less sugary tasting.

I miss the original Slice *lineup*... Was fond of the mandarin orange and the apple flavors as a kid. Lemon-lime was the weakest of the lot.

Not really. Ale-8-One is fantastic. Of course, it's regional, but it's really good and not priced like a regional.

Just chiming in to this thread to note that I compulsively added a 2-liter of squirt to my grocery order earlier. Had a cold all week, if there's ever a time to give in to the fantastic taste of HFCS, it's when you are sick.
