I have a feeling that Democrat fears are unwarranted. Sinema is such a despised candidate that she wouldn't spoil shiat, and the Arizona people are still mad at Trump for shiatting on the McCain family. If he's on the ticket in 2024 the Republican has no chance.

So Sinema can fark off to her sweet lobbyist gig or whatever grifting arrangement she's got going after her planned one term. All the Dems have to do is put up a candidate in the Kelly/Warnock model. Someone who will speak to the will of the voters and not be lazy, stupid, treasonous, or all three.

Actually, I think AZ has become a true swing state. If anything, the crazy has permeated the midwest in supposed "swing" states like Iowa, Ohio, and my home state of Missouri.

Depends on where. Illinois, Michigan, and Minnesota turn out reliably blue. Anywhere south of that has embraced the derp.

She's an Independent now. She no longer fears getting waxed in a primary. She'll be in the General as an (I).

The Democratic candidate is Ruben Gallego.

LOL no. Democrats hate her, Independents hate her, and Republicans "approve" of her only because she's screwed over Democratic policies. Very few would actually *vote* for her. Sinema's only constitutency now is Republicans that aren't complete MAGA morons, the kind of people that would vote Republican if they weren't running crazy people like Masters and Lake. There are enough of those in AZ to swing an election, but not to outright win one.

With democrats doing the predictable and monumentally stupid thing of challenging Sinema (yes, I don't care that she's an asshat), if republicans somehow fark up SO BAD they manage to lose to democrats splitting the vote between two candidates... they'd be beyond boned.

They've screwed up a lot, but I can't even begin to imagine the level of incompetence it would take to lose that senate seat.

It is literally being gifted to them on a silver platter.

Say what? She went independent to avoid a primary because her approval rating with Democrats is almost in the single digits. If she runs, she will be the spoiler, not the Democrat. She has no path to victory in this race. None. The only hope Democrats have is to run a strong actual Democrat against her.

Vote for Gallegos.
