Why that fool had a TV show to begin with, is well beyond me.

I'm ashamed to say that I can impersonate his dumbass voice a bit too well. That only helps when I'm mocking him, obviously.

Holy shiat. He's been on the air until now? I thought he went away years ago when his quackery was exposed.

"I am compelled to engage with a broader audience because I have grave concerns for the American family, and I am determined to help restore a clarity of purpose as well as our core values," he said.

Oh shiat, he's running for office.

I never watched an episode of his show, and I'm proud of that. I've seen him interviewed on late night talk shows and concluded that he's full of shiat. Thanks, Oprah.

Hopefully in Texas against Cruz.

Waves hand towards the general American TV viewer.

that click prick was almost as bad as Donahue. it's a damn shame the American government allows such low brow no brain show to be broadcast.

When I was in grad school he was often used as an example of what not to do to help victims and families in distress. If yelling at people helped people change, we'd have all helped our crappy relatives by now

He should have waited until tomorrow to make the announcement so people could make Punxsutawney Phil jokes.

Good. He's a piece of shiat, exploitative asshole.

Although the bum fights guy coming out with a skullet and Dr Phil suit on remains one of the most hilarious things I've ever seen.  He was So. Mad.

/Mostly because the bum fights guy was right.

My brother and I call him phd phil (he does not deserve capital letters).

He never went to medical school and he was so bad he was not allowed to practice in texas.

The airwaves will be fine. They will find another washed up d-list female actor to do a few cooking segments and provide new age bs.

It is only about filling airtime. Quality means little.

It's probably more lucrative than a daytime gig.

Dr Phil is even worse than you think.

He's always been an asshole and grifter.

Ya know, at least Jerry Springer didn't pretend that he was helping his "guests."  It was all sideshow and badly acted righteous anger and everyone knew it.  Dr. Phil thinks he's the real deal when he's just completely full of shiat.

He had near Oprah money levels of income. He was pushing books, he and his wife's podcasts and retail products, and his kid's stuff too. He's been producing prime time work, though no blockbusters as yet.

Watching him sell his shallow country boy populism will be depressing to watch as it becomes successful. But I don't know that it will be any more depressing than any alternative we're likely to see.

Should he decide to run for office, I would love to see someone expose his jury exclusion tactics and strategies that put him on Oprah's radar in the first place. I wonder what his audience would feel about the types of identities he felt weren't going to poll to his liking?

The fat guy with the chutzpah to sell diet pills.  Shocked he hasn't tried sell a hair growth system.

Phil is one step from Matt Foley.

I mean Oz was ridiculed and ultimately lost, but how much more money did he make off the campaign as opposed to had he stuck to the Oprah circuit?

Politics is the ultimate grift, and the biggest growing market in the United States.

That's the one. Too funny.  The clip is worth watching, Dr Phil loses it and won't even do the interview, just starts bloviating about how he's not taking it seriously.  He's obviously pissed.

Blame Oprah. With this idiot and Oz she has a lot to answer for.
