When I lived in Buffalo my boss was a volunteer firefighter whose company ran a Lenten Fish Fry.  Technically they were "all you can eat" but apparently I broke that one year when he drew the line at plate #3.

Having had fish 'n chips in jolly old England, I can state that I have never had anything even remotely as good here in the US...and I eat a lot of fish. Went to a street vendor with MrsGriffin after we visited the Tower of London and damn if that wasn't delicious. Nothing like fantastic fish 'n' chips while sitting on a bench with London Bridge in the distance.
