(Science Alert)   Bigfoot has a simple explanation, according to scientists. And no, it's not that it's a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside   (sciencealert.com) divider line

It's easier to spot a pic-a-nic basket if you stand up straight.

Sasquatch, on the other hand, remains completely inexplicable.

I've discovered some adolescent Bigfoot tracks near my place, these tracks prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that Bigfoots are breeding. Normally I search in foggy or out of focus areas but these were right out in the open.

I think ultimately, it speaks to something primal in our psyche.    Even if there were no Patterson-Gimlin video or concept of Bigfoot per se, the concept would still exist anyway...

Its like dragons, or shadow people.... Its a shared consciousness across the globe, spanning thousands of years.

Where are you going with this?  Religion?   I was thinking the other day, even if one is not religious or even believes in a higher power, the tenets of the major religions can and should still be useful, as they represent the ideas that have been formulated and refined over a few millenias by billions of people.  The backstories don't need to be taken literally... its all about conducting oneself properly.

No, it's just that black bears and bigfoots have exactly the same habitat, and are the same color.  Gawww.   It's not the same.

Evolutionary psychology, probably. For millions of years, pre-human hominids looked like Bigfoot. Our brains are still cued to look for that hairy man as a high priority pattern, just as we look for faces, spiders and snakes. If you see something move like a snake or a spider out of the corner of your eye, you don't even have to think about it...your body automatically reacts to get you out of the danger zone. That's millions of years of your ancestors dying from spider and snake bites. Similarly we see faces and shadow people everywhere because that's how we stayed alive.

Does any redneck have a Big Foot skin rug or a head mounted over his mantel piece?

No

All the proof you need for non-existence.

I've thought in several videos that the 'creature' sure looked and acted like a bear. It's the most logical conclusion honestly. I've sort of relegated all bigfoot sightings to bears so if bigfoots/bigfeets(?) do exist I'll be happy to amend my thinking when/if either a live or dead specimen is confirmed by scientists.

Not bears and I can prove it. Do bears come equipped with personal cloaking devices? No? Well we know bigfoot does. That's why there's no recent pictures or video. All we have are these grifters running around the woods pretending to chase stuff for the camera. In the meantime bigfoot is watching from its den/secret underground lair and laughing at the idiocy of the human race.

Bears don't do any of that so bigfoot cannot be a bear.

The Uncanny Valley is frightening because it implies there once was a reason to fear something that looked nearly human, but wasnt.
