(SoraNews24)   McDonald's Japan to reformulate McNuggets, getting rid of thigh meat and making them simply ground chicken breast and skin. Is this an outrage?   (soranews24.com) divider line

They should just breed a chicken that only has breasts in its' nuggets, they should be questioning how thighs got into their nuggets in the first place.

Everything is an outrage.

on one hand, skin is delicious

on another hand, breast is not as delicious as thigh.

The Japanese appreciate the fatty thigh meat. Which you would too, if you knew better. That big, dry breast is just popular because we're greedy.

Wish I could taste them before they Americanize them

You mean there's no part of a chicken called a "nugget"?
*faints from shock*

I'm pitching a beak and coxcomb recipe that would save them millions.

The working title is Chicken McPeckers2, at least until the folks in marketing can come up with something a little less transparent and penisy.

The Japanese version of Eat This, Not That is likely going to go into an apoplectic fit about how Japanese McDonald's chicken nuggets have chicken skin and are not 100% free range, antibiotic and hormone-free, hand-cut chunks of chicken breast.

I always think nuggets are like chicken hot dogs, except chickens don't have lips or peckers. Whatever non-preferred chicken parts are.

The "Healthier" they try to make their nuggets. The Worst they taste.
It's fricken McDonalds....not a gooddang life style 365 day choice. That's a YOU problem if that's the case.

Had some mcnugs today, tasty stuff not to be done too often. Did some cut up thigh chunks with ramen last night, one can really tell the taste...

That little piece of chicken butt on a rotisserie chicken is actually pretty good eats, BTW.

I miss dark meat at US fast food. I worked at taco bell in the 90s. That chicken was all soft and god damn delicious. Same with McNuggets. Everyone went crazy with the "all white meat" bullcrap marketing. As if it was any healthier. Nope. All the same. Except white meat tastes like chit when overcooked even slightly.

Here in Japan, you can get it as Yakitori (grilled chicken skewers). That particular part (the butt meat) is called bonjiri.
