Will Smith will do a bit where he is forced to do a standup set, and Martin runs up on stage and slaps the shiat out of him. They will do this hoping the comeuppance rescues his career, I'm not buying it.

I've reached the "won't Will Smith just please go away" phase of this reality show. Not that I was particularly interested before, but Bad Boys 4?? They should just combine it with Lethal Weapon 5 and have Gibson and Smith kick the sh*t out of each other. That i would watch.

This isn't really a wasteland. It's in production at Sony Pictures, Bruckheimer is producing, and Chris Bremmer wrote the script (he wrote the last one). The directors aren't well known, but they're from the last installment, too.

I meant he'll make crap films that are fairly successful at the box office. He's going to have a difficult time being taken seriously and getting serious roles. 'Emancipation' really cratered.

i admit that i enjoy the Bad Boys franchise and i will more than likely stream this when it becomes available in a week or three.

the two have chemistry and that comes through on screen.
it's dumb fun, doesn't require any thought if you're looking to turn off for 90 minutes.

This is the third sequel to a 27 year old action movie. The main characters should be in their 60's now, and I doubt young peeps are clamoring for another Bod Boys sequel.

The whole idea just seems more sad than anything else.

Emancipation, objectively, wasn't very good. It was like 12 Years a Slave meets Inglorious Basterds meets Glory and at no point could it decide which direction it wanted to go in.

I saw both of them in the theater. And enjoyed them! They were fun, funny movies.

But, man, that was a long farkin' time ago and I hate watching dead horses get beat conceptually. A 4th farking Bod Boys movie? Come on, now.

Wonder how many sequels it's going to take before there's a new "Bad Boys" movie in the series, with new leads? You know it's gonna farking happen. Bad Boys 5? 6? 7? I'm going to predict Bad Boys 5 will be a "hand the torch" movie in the "Bad Boys cinematic franchise". The one where Smith and Lawrence introduce whoever some algorithm determined were their modern equivalents, so they can do Bad Boys 6 on their own.

Or just have Tommy Lee Jones show up in the next one and transport Will and Martin to a universe where Bad Boys movies are the only entertainment they like and they can live out their days as the biggest stars in that universe

Bad Boys 3 was amazing and made more than the first two combined.  I'm really kind of surprised it took thing long but hopefully it took this long because they wanted the script to be as good as the third.

Tooany people here act like he murdered someone. I think it's misdirected anger, driven by a feeling of helplessness because of the serious crimes in the last handful of years wnded up with no punishment whatsoever.
It's befuddling.

I don't think it's that he struck Rock for joking about his wife.  It was that he laughed, then noticed his wife's expression and went after Rock like her trained dog.

That was not an action hero kind of public display.  I maintain that if there was a problem, he should have just quietly walked his wife out.  That would have been a huge hit to Rock and been great PR for Smith.

Instead he killed his own public image.

I don't know that he killed his public image. Mostly because he never had much of an "image". He's never been much for media attention outside of his movies/shows/music.

And he's washed-up anyway. Will Smith hasn't been a bankable actor for, what, 20 years? At least? Nobody cares what he does. Same could be said of his wife and Chris Rock. They're all old news.

What he did do was embarrass himself. But I don't think that it was more embarrassing than any of his last twenty or so movies.

Pop Corn movies.

I'll watch this one when it come out. And I'll probably eat a whole bag of microwave popcorn while doing so.

And I'll probably laugh frequently and enjoy my hour and a half to two hours.

Because unlike so many commenters, I'm not a bitter tired cliche of movie hate.
