Okay Gretch, what will you give me to move to Michigan?

I'm not going to root for U of M under any circumstances, though.  Give me a good enough deal though and I'll root for Sparty.

Come to Grand Rapids. Plenty of jobs, lots of craft breweries and good restaurants, a hockey team, concert venues, all only an hour away from going to Spartan Stadium/Breslin/Munn or less than an hour away from Lake MI.

The GOP loves money, but only for how it helps them keep women and minorites under their heels.

Every time they get a choice between profit and being dickbags, they choose dickbaggery.

That's just... weird. I wonder what Jewish people think about it, any want to chime in? Like it would be weird for a non-Christian to wear a cross for a photo op, I think it would be beyond transparent.

Michigan is currently experiencing a Democratic trifecta, with Democrats holding a majority in both legislative chambers and the governorship.

Ted Nugent is probably making a lot of noise about this, isn't he?

It's not any crazier than taking off hats during the USA national anthem.

Toledoan here - it's so FARKING tempting. Wouldn't take hardly anything to hop across the border. Same job just a little longer commute. If the winds don't change by the time my kids are teenagers (10 years) I'm certain we'll try. Problem is, Ann Arbor is stupid expensive and the roads are garbage.

Unfortunately, having an unstable, autocratic country next door usually means terrorism and war constantly. They are not happy to keep to the places they claim, they want it all. See Pakistan's problems with the Taliban or India's problems with Pakistan.

If the confederates had got their way, it would have just led to war later over the southwest. It would have been a disaster and ruined the nation, not to mention the millions of Americans who would have been kept in slavery.
