Their entire stupid game for over a decade is to shout stupid conspiracy shiat at a fevered pitch until definitive proof surfaces, and depending on how well the conspiracy plays they'll either cite the proof as compelling evidence the conspiracy IS true, OR they'll just stop talking about it entirely and move on and shout about something else made up. That's the entire game. There is no shame, or apologies, because they knew exactly what they were doing. It was puppet theatre, and the audience is the puppet.

If they can't keep their audience pants-wetting terrified, and blood-boiling outraged at all times, they'll have time to do the minimum barely critical thinking required to see whose really farking them. That's what having an entire propaganda apparatus freely allowed to air political lies 24/7 does for you.

Sure he does. Ted Cruz is part of the cosmic apparatus that all sentient life has to evolve beyond or be destroyed. He and those similar are a species level test that determines whether we kill ourselves or become interplanetary travelers. Your species can't be both be masters of the universe and capable of producing Ted Cruzes. It's one or the other.
