Biden is the one limiting the export of advanced semiconductors and the machinery required to fabricate them. With the new congressional majority hungry for STIGGINIT to feed to their base it seems likely we will see additional export controls in exchange for debt ceiling relief.

Most companies don't have a mission or purpose, which contributes to this problem.

My stock people assured me that no recession was coming, which I remember some Farker saying back when we were promised one in 2018. Just yesterday it dawned on me that stock trading companies have reason to be permanently optimistic about that sort of thing.

Just like so called "Consumer Confidence", businesses react to what may happen instead of what does happen. But I bet this will happen to the employees when the company doesn't hire that 8 % back:
