I just remembered that one launch was a Falcon Heavy. So technically it's six Falcon 9 launches. Or is it nine? I dunno, it's still seven SpaceX launches this month, which is a lot.

Troll reporting for duty.

I use to enjoy watching these launches, especially fun when working from home to have this up on my screen in the background.

And now, I just do not give a fark. In fact I would rather enjoy watching them explode just to damage Elmo. Yes my hatred of this fraud and con artist has made me now wish to see SpaceX fail. Sorry but anything he touches now, I just want to see fail. Twatter, Tesla, etc.. let them all go the way of his marvelous Hyperloop.

One launch per 4.4 days so far (assuming today's mission is good).  That cadence gives them 83 missions this year.

Here's the updated list of successful SpaceX Missions.  Should be quite a ride this year - there are already 65 missions listed, and we know there will be a load more Starlink missions.  Cadence to date looks like one mission per 4.4 days.  That gets them to 83 missions for the year.  They'll have to step things up to hit 100, but they've got FOURTEEN penciled in for February.  And it's looking like we have FIVE Falcon Heavies, THREE crewed missions, TWO lunar landers, and ONE asteroid mission!  No mention of a Partridge in a Pear Tree, but stay tuned!

Starlink missions always land the first stage at sea because they use as much of the first stage performance as possible while still recovering the booster.

I can't wish failure on SpaceX just because Elon musk is an asshole having a midlife crisis. I do kind of want to see Twitter crash and burn at this point because it's become so damn toxic.

That doesn't mean SpaceX should take away the jobs of all the hard-working people who made SpaceX a success, who aren't Elon.

I don't love or hate the guy.  Twitter kinda hit me as stupid when it first came out.  Hit me as dangerous when Trump got on it, and now it's just like watching the end of Sears or Compaq.  It's just gonna implode and cost him a lot of money. Meh.

I couldn't afford cars that Tesla made, so I never really gave it much concern either.

But, Starlink IS providing internet access to Ukraine, and the Ukrainians are using it to target Russian assets.  To the point where Russia has called Musk a war criminal.

So I can't cheer for his rockets and such to fail.  I'm looking at the big picture and if it's helping put Orks in the dirt, then I'm all for it.

Watching him lose his shirt and get taken to the cleaners on Twitter IS giving me the all warm and fuzzies, though.  I have to admit to that.  Seeing Orks in the grave does the same thing for me.

So if a couple of Musk's rockets make it to orbit and he profits on the side, so be it.  I'm not going to wish for him to fail simply because I don't like him or his politics.

SpaceX launches rockets faster than satellites get built.

Part of the genius of Starlink is that it gives SpaceX something to do when there aren't any customer payloads.

I despise Elon Musk, and I despise him all the more because I held out so long giving him the benefit of the doubt.

How shiatty it is that we need SpaceX, because the alternative is Russia. None of our other aerospace companies can match SpaceX in its capabilities, and yeah, it's sickening that it's owned by someone almost as psychotic as Putin.

That was the heavy launch. I got to see that really well from my house in Fort Lauderdale. One of the best sighting we've had that wasn't a polar launch. Consider yourself lucky with the clear skies and sunset launch!

Most of Musk's enterprises were set up to fulfill more than one purpose.

Starlink, for example.  I think Starlink would be great to have in place around the Moon and Mars as an aid to explorers without the time, effort, and expense of building as much ground-based communications infrastructure.  And if it can be subsidized by turning a profit along the way, so much the better.

Tesla, I'm convinced, was started to ensure that when we needed robust vehicles for Moon or Mars, we'd have industries that were experienced with heavy duty electric drive trains and battery technology on a mass-production scale.  And again, if this R&D can pay for itself, maybe turn a profit, great!

Boring Company?  Getting ready to dig habitats on Moon and Mars.

And so on.

This, I think, was a great way to start building the dream of making humanity multi-planetary.  If Musk has any claim to genius, it was the idea of making all these efforts support themselves financially and maybe even help pay for developing the launchers - which have also been bringing in cash.

What a farking pity he went so damn far off the rails and turned into asshole Numero Uno.
