I didn't like chocolate at all as a young kid.  Mom would make cookies and take care to leave chocolate chips out of some so that I would eat them.  Eventually I got hold of a Butterfinger, and thought it was okay because it didn't taste very much at all like chocolate.  It still isn't a strong favorite.  Chocolate can go to hell.

For me 86 percent cacao chocolate is delicious and satisfying. Cheap American "chocolate" mostly tastes like vomit on its own.

Chocolate ice cream is better than no ice cream, but left to my own devices I will not choose it. Chocolate in or on vanilla ice cream is great. I often grate some of that 86 percent stuff on it. As a rule I don't go too crazy with ice cream flavors. I prefer vanilla with various toppings over pretty much everything. Do like a nice strawberry flavor.

Well-made chocolate cakes and brownies are delicious. Especially German Chocolate Cake.
