Week 3 of teaching myself to turn bowls. Trying to get more efficient and spend less time sanding, so I picked up some woodturning books from the library. Found out I was developing some bad habits and doing a few things the wrong way, like making some cuts in the wrong direction and not using the right tool for certain cuts. Oops.

Anyway, adjustments were made and I think I'm starting to get the hang of it, while amassing an army of tiny maple bowls. Next project is going to be making some small spoons or scoops to go with them.

Latest drawing. Getting the background black and not show light reflections took a while. Had to mess around with the lighting when I took the picture.

"Coffee Grinder Still Life" (watercolor) I like parts of this one, but on the whole...not so much. But it was good practice with some varying textures.

Finally got some more bottle opener hardware in today.  A few quick and easy projects done.  I really like the twisted antler on the left side.

I don't think I ever posted a pic of the beanie I knitted. I spun the yarn with a drop spindle. First successful project using hand spun :)

Not sure if the votes are for the beer, the bit of leg I'm showing, or the months I spent cursing an uncooperative bit of wool, but either way, thanks.
