Some idiot in Atlanta sent a pic to a tv station of a British gas station with a price of 1.51 on the sign and wanted to know why gas was cheaper in Europe.  The station kindly explained that the money was in pounds and priced per liter.  End result came to over $7/gallon.

Gas is still cheap here.

But in fairness to conservatives who believe Biden controls and is responsible for high gas prices, Joe must really be a fool to not control and lower gas prices to $1 a gallon. He'd be a hero then. Why doesn't Joe just lower gas prices?

$4/gallon would be great.  I haven't seen anything below that for quite a long time.

In a few months temperatures across the country will skyrocket with daytimes highs in the 80s and 90s and even over 100 degrees.

See how easy that was? And all true, by the way.

According to certain "influencers" on Twitter, Biden did lower gas prices

Nice. Whatever keeps my energy stocks flush with cash for buybacks and dividends.

I figured it would.  But gas prices need to be much higher.  The oil companies are doing anything they can to keep us from leaving them.
And while making record profits!  What a deal.

Wait a minute.

You mean refiners chuckling at scheduling more "maintenance" when China's "reopening" is expected to increase demand, has an influence on gas prices?

It's a coontspiracy.

Just when the GOP is out complaining that Joe tried to lower your gas bill the prices are going to go up

Maybe when the heating season is over, diesel will come down a bit more. Currently $4.49/gallon. Which impacts everyone more than what they pay for gasoline, because everything gets moved by trucks.

As a public service to everyone that failed geography: the EU is not all of Europe.
