I'm trying to imagine a carroway/allspice taco on lefse brod and ..

I'm both angry and intrigued. I'm going to take a walk and think about this.

Probably the most common food I can think of that usually has noticeable caraway notes and a very roughly similar spice profile is chicken tikka.

I'm definitely intrigued, and would happily try some oddball Scandinavian tacos.

Parallel evolution in food is probably just as real as in biology.  It makes sense.

They did improve on sushi.  Let's not count them out off-hand

If you drop a tortilla on the ground, technically Earth is taco.

Supposedly the country with the second-highest taco per capita per year consumption after Mexico.

I believe originally they ate something similar to the American midwestern take on tacos (with the crispy shell and a lot of lettuce), and the reason it took off there was a combination of eating traditions, food prices, and ease of preparation that made it a perfect choice for certain meals.  Of course they've since put their own spin on it, and some have sought out the real deal.

Everything is a taco If you try.

And I'm game. Pork stomach? Dunno if I ever had pork throat.

Barley tortilla? Sign me up, sound.  fantastic. Then find me a half barley half corn tortilla because I bet that's farking awesome.

Butter fry all the things? Speaking my language why over. Overcomplicate this. Some of the spices are different but I bet it's good kinda dunno about cloves.

A lot less salt than I expected from Norway..... like a lot lot lot lot less salt than I expected. I was thinking jerkey level of salt. But hey acid, fatty meat and sugar from the honey.

I would absolutely try it..  might gotta message that to the Norwegian ex and get her take

/is all out of bubblegum

I was in Oslo a few years back. They regularly had multiple sushi restaurants on every block. The block where I stayed (Airbnb) had 5 on one side and 3 on the other side. And the prices were quite reasonable. Didn't find a single Norwegian restaurant, but did go to one that served whale steak. Not bad at all.
