My liver doctor gave me a paper that said 2 to 3 cups a day of coffee was good for the liver.

What about half and half?

I have been drinking coffee with milk for decades and I haven't "inflamed" yet, so this must be true.

does my regular mixture of 1 cup sugar, 1/2 cup milk, and 2 ounces of coffee do anything?

My kidney stones and I will pass on the caffeine and calcium, but thank you for the offer

Not just coffee.  Tea is rich in polyphenols, too.  I have coffee with cream (mornings) and tea with milk (evenings) every day, so my body must be all like, "Inflammation?  I have no idea what you're talking about, but I'm getting old and tired of this shiat, so I'll just fark your back up."

Coffee is not a soft drink. Can I just drink the milk all by itself?

Coffee + milk + cocoa, even better.

Headline next week: Coffee shown to cause inflammation!

Remember when a glass of wine a day was good for your heart or something? Now if you have more than one a week you're gonna DIE!

Just don't overdo anything and you'll either be fine or you'll die anyway.

Shut up, Kevin.

*shrug*   I limit myself to 2 cups a day because more than that kinda jacks up my stomach. And i always have it with milk (1/2 coffee, 1/2 milk) because black coffee is bleh.

I don't know about keeping inflammation away, but whatever.

neongoats: What about half and half?

If it's real half and half, you still get all the benefits. But if it's only 45% milk, you get stomach cancer. Sorry, it's a fine line.

The way I have been drinking coffee lately, it's been 1 oz of milk to 11 oz of coffee.  My limit is apparently 3 cups before I start getting jittery.  I'd hate to think what my chronic pain would be like if I wasn't consuming coffee with a bit of milk.

coffee can be ingested by...alternative...means.

1 cup of coffee in the morning, several cups of tea throughout the day. All plain and unsweetened.

I don't really care about potential health benefits of antioxidants or whatever slightly correlated BS the media is breathlessly reporting on this week.

I buy good stuff and enjoy the flavor; it's sure as shiat healthier than soda or booze; I find sipping on a hot, caffeinated drink basically kills any urge to snack, which is also handy.

At my last job I was asked if the coffee we sold was suitable to be used as an enema. I told them that it wasn't a use that I could suggest or recommend for the product.
I really wanted to tell them to use the cinnamon flavored coffee for that nice holiday smell.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Martha Stewart would've gone for chicory. But I guess that's why she makes the Big Bucks.

Hmm. "I'll only consume things by mouth that I can also stick up my ass", seems like a weird standard but okay.
