Lol Mike McCarthy will blame anyone

Lots of demand out there for offensive coaches.  He'll have a new job soon if he wants one.

Gotta appease the football god and sacrifice somebody. Jerry Jones wanted some blood and McCarthy gave it to him. Lots of blame to go around. OC is middle management. They're always the ones fired when executives fark up.

Yeah man, Kellen Moore threw all those picks. He's gotta go.

I' curious about the firing of quality control coach Kyle Valero. I've never heard of a quality control coach before. As a Cowboys fan I think they could use several of them, they should probably beef up that position.

Polish Hussar: The Dallas Morning News is reporting that Mike McCarthy will be taking over offensive playcalling duties for the Cowboys..

Wait, wait, wait... you mean we'll get to see hilariously-designed-to-fail plays potentially every game, rather than just in the playoffs?

They could also use a quality control GM or three.

QC coaches are your film wonks - most of their job is scouting the opponents for game planning purposes.

I said that Dak should have been traded when Romo came back from injury, we could have built a new dynasty off Herschel Walker trade v2.Instead, I've been stuck saying "I told you so" for the last 6 years.

Firing Kellen Moore feels like the same kind of thinking.

Dak - it's third and 3 coach. What's the play?

MM - Dak, I want you to get out there and keep your eyes synced with your feet. Like Steve Young. Have I shown you my cutups of his footwork?

Dak - Yeah, but -

MM - You do that. And you tell those boys out there to watch their pad levels, and win their one on ones. It's all about personal accountability and remembering the fundamentals at a time like this.

Dak - OK, coach, but... the play?

MM -

Not even Shanahanigans would approve whatever the hell the Cowboys tried this year with Zeke snapping the ball.

Already with the Chargers apparently.

Also I think McCarthy will have a rude awakening when someone NOT named A Aron is playing QB in his offense.

Tbh it's a play where if you don't make it 75 yards, you lose, and the defense knows that all they have to do is hold you to less than that. There are no plays in anyone's playbook designed for that. Might as well do something ridiculous.
