She'll be the queen until the last one stops flying.

The delivery of Air Force One is a few years away and might be delayed even longer. This isn't the last one.

I'm going to have a good laugh when the last A380 is retired while 747s are still flying.

Those planes were already technically delivered.

They're 2 747-8i that were to go to a Russian airline that couldn't pay (well before the sanctions).

Silly thing is, it's probably going to cost more to retrofit them than to build 2 planes on the assembly line to USAF spec.

I wish I could remember of my Lufthansa flights were on the 744 or 742.

I know my various flights on MAC Air were certainly 742s.

I'm gonna have to get some 748 flights in at some point.

And the A340. Those are gonna retire soon.

I've mentioned that a few times when the subject comes up. Would have been better to build them to spec than to retrofit.

Mrs. Farker & I flew a 747-400 round trip between PHX and LHR a few years ago. Glad I had a chance to board one. What an amazing aircraft.

Right as the article gets to the meat with the design team intro, it lands. Come on!

I flew a 747 from El Paso to Chicago, it was deadheading back from an overseas route and  got diverted.  There were only 7-8 of us on board and they wouldn't let us sit in first class
