Like most of the Russian call ups, I'm assuming these are soviet era strippers that probably haven't had upkeep or maintenance since the 80's.... good luck with that.

Somehow I can't imagine that Putin would spend money on the Ukraine front for anything that didn't go boom, or got people closer to make things go boom. Given his penchant for calling on Father Church for help...this doesn't exactly pass the smell test. I mean, funny, if it were true, but this IS The Sun reporting...

Who said anything about paying them?  The soldiers might, if they have any money, but Putin, just ordered them. I imagine the enterprising young ladies figured out for themselves how not to be in the kill zone.

Wouldn't be surprised if the females were just grabbed off the streets. They're probably not going to be doing much stripping or pole dancing either.

Exactly. This isn't women who do sex work traveling on their own terms to the Superbowl city to pickup extra money. They're trafficking these women and sending them to a place where violence, including r*pe, is rewarded. The "elite" Russian units are well known for their violence against women as a weapon against the locals they're trying to subjecate

I would be sore tempted to do it, to eliminate a large number of the enemy while they're celebrating the death of my people.  I'd worry about the perception of it among the citizenry of my allies.  Many already grumble, and a seemingly heartless act against "unarmed" and resting soldiers, could easily be used to turn the tide so they abandon me.

So it would have to be a victory move.  Something that just ends the war because there's no more enemy to fight.  I doubt this would qualify.

I would also expect it to be heavily defended.  Would need one of those super-expensive supersonic guided missiles or something.  Something unstoppable and devastating.  Possibly crossing another line in people already withering in their support.

So yeah, hard choice.

Armies have been using 'moral boosters' like this since there have been armies.  Soldiering is one of the oldest professions known to humanity.  Guess which profession is the oldest?
