No thanks.
I'm getting a Cirrus SR22T.

My Ford 850 tractor had an ejector seat.
The bolts holding the backhoe mount on the back sheared after 65 years, the backhoe fell off, and pulled the strut mount bolts out of the plate under the seat, causing the seat to go straight up, leaving me standing, while driving the tractor, which I had to stop, because I knew the pump in the pto was still attached to the tractor, still attached to the hoses, still attached to the home, stagnant, behind me.
I'm mounting the back hoe on the back of an M2200A1 trailer now.
Lots of steel, lots of welding. Parquet pressure treated deck. And the 850 is getting a new job as a puller in a parade float.

I thought those things had a parachute.

Gull wing doors and leather seats.  Nice.

Glass cockpit, side yolk, full Garmin avionics, and a parachute for the plane.

What's not to love?

Wish I could afford the Vision.

This was a kit plane (build it yourself), so I am assuming its the same kind of ejection that you get with teenagers speeding on a highway getting in an accident with no seat belts, because the seat included in the kit is almost on par with a folding camping chair

Hangar neighbor in San Carlos just bought a G3 22T. Very sharp.

// still don't trust a plane I can't get out of a spin.

No, but Russian helicopters have ejection seats:

And they need them.

You got raped by a Ford Tractor? That's badass.

Any seat can be an ejection seat if you're tipsy enough.

Why wouldn't they? It's a common-sense safety measure if you have to evacuate a plane, and it's not like the physics and chemistry of how they work is some deep-held secret.

Ejection seats use rocket motors to blast the occupant out of the cockpit.  Either the ceiling or the floor will be ejected first.  They're heavy, expensive, continuously dangerous, require extensive training, and are useful only as a last resort.  While I do appreciate their comedic value as a YouTube supercut, my tastes are not typical.

Remember to budget the chute repack cost into your purchase. Engine overhaul is less than the chute and not as mandatory as the chute overhauls.

Grob G120TP is about the smallest aircraft that you're going to find with (optional) ejection seats.  Not really aimed at the civilian market, though.

Vision jet? That thing is for people who just want to say they have a jet.  TBM or PC12 is the way to go, better ride, performance, interior and cheaper per hour to operate.

No ejection seats or chute though. You actually have to learn how to land most planes.

Mmmm..
This is a bit of an issue:
The 400's maximum take-off weight is 3600 lbs (1633 kg) and the maximum landing weight is 3420 lbs (1551 kg). A typical empty weight without deicing equipment is 2575 lbs (1168 kg). With a full fuel load this leaves 413 lbs (187 kg) for crew and baggage.

I need that just for the hookers and blow.

Survivability is my first thought.

Some folks are terrified of spiders.
I'm properly afraid of harming others. Long story.
