In Canada, sedition is treated as an indictable offense with a maximum punishment of 14 years in prison.

Not sure if you can charge a foreign citizen in another country for it, but it would be fun to find out!

Nah, they really dislike Americans. There are a few who want to be American red-necks for some reason (met a few, they all want to know why they can't say the N-word but Black people can) but even Albertans think Americans are a-holes and should stay where they are.

I would expect our government to think about making a formal complaint about this - everyone knows FOX is a right-wing agitprop organization, and riling up people to attack the government here is something we frown upon.

Unfortunately, I would also expect back room discussions to quickly result in, "ANGH" and an agreement to not make a fuss over it.

But maybe we can get FOX banned from Canadian cable carriers and block its (legal) sale via satellite, streaming, etc.  That's a nice dream, right?

I don't think that saying that the US should send troops into Canada is 'insurrection' per say. More like 'invasion'. Doubt there's a Canadian law against inciting invasion so he's in the clear.
