Didn't see the show but saw this posted somewhere earlier and though it was kind of funny.

It's because the new millennium, so far, has been fairly static compared to 1950-2000. Nearly every decade in that period saw sweeping changes to society and technology.

But...2003 felt more-or-less like 2023 does. 1983 didn't feel *anything* like 2003. Completely different world.

We used to watch Carson and Letterman.  Late weeknight TV talkshows today - I don't know if it's bad, but it's got that same old formula and it's saturated.  And I'm old.  So I don't stay up for it or switch to it if I'm awake.  And I like Jimmy Kimmel.

12349876: The Man Show.

That show is precisely why I have found it damn near impossible to take Jimmy Kimmel seriously, man... I know it's dumb but look it's not my job to be a hero.

That said, I watched that documentary about the homeless hatchet hitch hiker guy yesterday and one of the interesting things about that whole thing for me was what a total pro Kimmel was when they brought him on that show and he was being a spaz.  it looked like it could have easily gone totally sideways.

Matt Damon genuinely looked pissed, once or twice that I saw it. He's an actor so,

The weird thing is, Corolla is really right wing now.
It's like after the The Man Show, Kimmel became a superhero and  Corolla is the guy who grew envious and became the villain.

no, it was way after Kimmel joined. I think it was when Kimmel stopped calling him.
