But where did the money really come from?  I can't see him paying for it.

"I will give you one million dollars. It'll be in a couple of weeks. But don't cash the check right away, there's a thing with the thing, so money won't be in that account right away. Oh, and I will need $500,000 of that back. In cash, if that's possible. Actually, it would be a big help if I could just have the cash now."

BizarreMan: But where did the money really come from?  I can't see him paying for it.

So he raised $200m, at least, from late 2020 to Q2 2021 and spent 0.5% on an audit that generated even more money for him and left everybody else bankrupt.

He didn't pay anything, he profited from all of it.

But I guess we'll just keep underestimating Trump and everything that's happened in the last few years, because no1curr and ANGH anyway.

I think we found Congressman Santo's alt.

The only way he would actually give anyone any money is if he stood to earn a profit on it. And even then, he'd have someone else front the money.

Actually, I take that back. He just would never donate money to anyone.

2023-01-27 7:16:19 PM
Does that mean he's made Speaker of the House now?

2023-01-27 7:16:26 PM
It wasn't his money.

An analysis by the watchdog group Documented has traced funding for the Arizona audit back to Trump's Save America Pac.

Yes, directly from Trump's pocket.  Ow, f*ck.  I just rolled my eyes so hard I fell backwards out of my chair.

2023-01-27 7:17:37 PM
I've got no problem with that.  That's $1 million pissed away that could have supported Trump or other Republicans.

It was an investment that had a good return. He raised millions from his idiot followers on the back of the Arizona fraudit.

The Irresponsible Captain: It wasn't his money.

Yup. He told people who actually gave money to direct the money to the audit.

The people who donated to Trump got what they paid for.

It was later divulged that a further $1m had supported the audit from an account controlled by Cleta Mitchell, a Republican election lawyer who advised Trump as he plotted to subvert the 2020 election.

I did not know that 'Cletus' had a feminine form.

Slight correction: the idiots that gave money to the Save America PAC paid for it.

If he gave them money, he donated it.
He gave them money.
There was an election.
There was an audit.
Trump's amount was $1 million.

So get rid of the quotes, because every one of those matched the farking facts, subby. Quotes are for when you're saying "they said this, but I don't agree".

Or should I congratulate you on your mediocre success with English as your second language?

did they actually get the money?

Trump donated $1 million of the many $millions that had been donated to him. So he was just reducing the amount of his take from his latest grift.

Damn. I had George Santos.

2023-01-27 9:03:46 PM
I was at a car show and some people were canvasing the crowd. One of them offered me a free hat, which I took. Then he asked me to donate money to something or other, which I declined. Then he asked for the hat back.

Trump reminds me of that type of "donation" scumminess for some reason.

Felony election tampering leading to conspiracy to commit sedition.

No way in hell Trump gave anyone money.

He told someone else to donate money in his name.

It's so weird that an honest business genius like Trump understands how to funnel money through a bunch of shell companies to obscure the source of the funds.

So. Very. Strange.

Look at it from the point of view that he wasn't giving money away, but was trying to use his grift income (not actually his money) to buy an election outcome favorable to himself.

Just because something is called an "audit" does not make it an audit. It was a cowboy attempt to undermine the legitimate election results which only failed when the Cyber Ninjas realised they'd be looking at serious federal charges if they couldn't back up any results which did undermine the election. So they announced some very uncontroversial results instead and ran away with millions of dollars of Arizona taxpayers' money then started whining that nobody would hire them for any new work. The counting involved untrained volunteers handling ballots, breaking the chain of custody of the ballots, and was not done under anything resembling legit audit conditions and subby is correct to call it an "audit" rather than an audit, you on the other hand are wrong.

So maybe picking on someone else's language skills was a touch premature.

On a technicality the Cyber Ninjas did not akshually interfere, they just strongly hinted to the Arizona Republicans that they would then didn't and pocketed the cash anyway.

He grifted like $200 million from his idiot supporters claiming he was going to stop the steal. Even after pocketing tons of it and using it to pay his own bills, I'm sure he could force himself to use $1 million of it for the audit. Probably still pained him to do it.

He probably claimed it on his taxes even though it wasn't his money.
