I haven't finished Pt. II. I THINK I made it past the midway point, but definitely got stuck. That was a long time ago. I should probably start over and try to finish. Loved how they dealt with Ellie and Joel's relationship following Pt. I. Also loved Ellie being the focal point. Serious gut-punches in those games though. Yeesh...

I remember staring at the credits. Blinking. just....couldn't process what I saw.

I didn't touch the playstation for a while after that.

That would be all fluff. I think the plan is for Part 2's story to be broken up into two seasons. One Ellie/Joel/Dina focused and Abby and friends for the third season.


Might have to pick up some anti-depressants though. Part 2 was rough. That hospital basement part is going to be terrifying on screen.

I think that would be the worst way to do it.

I think you have to run the two storylines simultaneously, because otherwise season 2 would have an incredibly unsatisfying ending (on a massive cliffhanger) that won't even be resolved until late in the third.

I haven't played a video game since Pong (look it up millenials) so I had never heard of the video game last of us. So far I like what I've seen in the two episodes.

i've actually not heard much complaints from those farking idiots about this one, there were some murmurs about race-swapping Sara and Joel but Nico Parker was great as Sara, and she's a dead ringer for her mother Thandie Newton.

I haven't played the games, but from what I heard about the sequel, they'll have a lot more familiar material to work with that they'll just vaguely claim as bad writing.

I was wondering if they were going to cover Left Behind.  They've certainly alluded to Riley, and this is a great opportunity to blend the stories organically, but I wasn't positive.  Cool.

I read somewhere that Ashley was going to be playing Ellie's mother in a flashback at some point.

I'm pretty sure one of the trailers shows Ellie and Riley together during the events of Left Behind.

I'm guessing they'll work the present part of LB where it fits chronologically and have the flashbacks through that episode.

That's my understanding, yeah.  Awesome enough that Merle Dandridge gets to reprise her role entirely, but Ashley getting that role (and I heard Troy Baker shows up as one of David's followers) is just a fantastic little nod, a great sign that they're keeping the soul of the source material intact.

I'd be shocked if we didn't get TLOU Part 3 over the next couple of years, before the show ever gets there. It's coming.
