Are they both grizzlies, or is the one an overmatched (but game) black bear?

Who would get close enough to film this? I guess after the grizzlies eat them the wolves can pick clean the bones that are left.

Do I need to get checked for tunnel vision and/or small screen disorder? It took me three watches to figure out where the overhyped wolves were.
Still a cool video; no bad wishes for subby.

Not that I'm qualified to tell, but they looked pretty similar in size and shape. It didn't look like they were hurting each other too much, though.

That could have been bear talk between a mother and full-grown cub. "Don't sass me." *smack* "I said don't sass me." *SMACK* *SMACK*

BEARS: (stop fighting to look at camera) Hey, what's that over there? Looks like a tasty treat. Let's table this shiat and go get some!

*camera points towards the ground as guy holding the camera flees, too late, then continues to record, showing a blue sky above, while out of frame, the bears attack the guy; his screams are horrifying as both animals rip him apart, then the screams stop*

I think both grizzlies.  They both had that same concavity of the face

Park rangers are advising hikers and campers in national parks to be alert for bears and take extra precautions to avoid an encounter.  They advise park visitors to wear little bells on their clothes so they make noise when hiking. The bell noise allows bears to hear them coming from a distance, so they won't be startled by a hiker accidentally sneaking up on them, which might cause a bear to charge.  Visitors are told they should also carry a pepper spray can just in case they encounter a bear. Spraying the pepper into the air will irritate the bear's sensitive nose and it will run away.
It is also a good idea to keep an eye out for fresh bear droppings so you have an idea if bears are in the area. People should be able to recognize the difference between black bear and grizzly bear scat.  Black bear droppings are smaller and often contain berries, leaves, and possibly bits of fur. Grizzly bear droppings tend to contain small bells and smell of pepper

It was a vertical video. That would mean it was most likely a cellphone camera.

What wildlife photographer lenses look like:

The camera end encloses a 54mm mount... These things are literally small telescopes. With 4 stop integrated image stabilization and the ability to focus on anything in the blink of an eye.

/for the price of that lens you could buy a telescope with a 2 foot mirror

Anyone with the money to set up that kind of lens would not be using a shiatty vertical phone as a camera and posting the video to tiktok. Although that doesn't entirely eliminate the possibility of someone stealing an original video and cropping down to shiatty tiktok vertical-limited and time-limited format.

Both near and background objects being out of focus, IMO, give it away as not originally being a shiatty vertical video diseased shot; a phone camera's focus goes, "6 inches... 2 feet... infinity." It's definitely on a tripod; a phone zoomed that far in would be shaking like you had Parkinson's, and even my heavy EF zoom had obvious shaking.

It looks digitally zoomed in, so I don't know how much of what looks like smooth pan & zoom is just translating the output window over the video. In any case, I just aimed my EF 70-200 zoom out the window and at 200mm (equivalent to 300 on a full frame camera), I'd guess if you recorded full frame at 4K you could crop what we saw at HD from 1-1.5 football field lengths away.

/csb: if you want to do any kind of telephoto with a Canon camera, an EF 70-200 f/2.8 USM II is one of the best buys you can make
//the II is very important, image quality outside the center is quantum leaps better than the original

Yeah, I was wondering if it was play fighting, simply because I would think a real fight would have way more blood. Bears can fark things up pretty good with their teeth and claws, including other bears.

I wouldn't get close enough to ask, but it looked kind of like sparring, just because of the resting and backing off at points.  Enough to see who "wins" without serious wounding, and two young guys practicing for later serious fights for territory or mating.  But I could be wrong, I am not a bear.
