They still should have never gotten rid of Click, but this is a really good hire. Brown helped build the Braves minor leagues these last few years, and of course, Atlanta beat the Astros in 2021.

Personally, I think Crane didn't retain Click because he resented the fact that Click was significantly better than his hired hand Jeff Luhnow. He had to hire someone to fill the void, and hated that Click showed him up.

That level of arrogance has manifested itself in both the cheating scandal plus the BS involving Osuna and treating female reporters like crap.

It's a good hire, but it's a hire they never should have needed to make.

Becky Hammon, by 2030. She's already been an assistant to Popovich. If she leaves the WNBA in a few years, she'd again be an NBA candidate and she has pretty solid name recognition.
