I'm 47, a proud Gen-Xer, and I'm laughing my arse off at the 'sad Whopper' video in TFA. I had a Whopper with cheese the other day that looked woefully nothing like the one in the vid (in the vid it's black and white, mine was almost that in real life, but also pathetically slim and cost me about eight Australian dollars for burger alone). That remix video is perfect, well done to the Gen-Zer who imagined it up.

That jingle is a menace. Watching even one World Series or NFL game this year subjected the viewer to at least 10 ad spots with it.

In a world where everything is pitch-corrected, it sounds like it was purposely made to be slightly out-of-tune. Probably as a strategy for catching the ear and irritation of viewers only half paying attention. The tune shoves itself into your consciousness.

The fact that anyone would remix it for fun... yikes. Will I meet anyone in this thread that likes the jingle??

Huh. shiat like this always surprises me with the fact that I couldn't say when the last time I saw an actual tv commercial was. Years ago at this point.

Basically streaming or on demand for anything I wanna watch, Adblock still has YouTube cowed into submission, and the only sport I follow is hockey, for which I stream all the games I watch on a site that's totally on the up and up (tbf, I'd pay for nhl.tv if they didn't subject half of what I wanted to watch to stupid blackout rules).

And fark no I'm not clicking on TFA to hear what by the above accounts is an unholy abomination of a jingle.

Despite only being a couple years over the age of 25, I do not understand Gen Z humor. At all.

Such is life online, I guess. The comment reminds me of my own reaction to that harlem shake nonsense from 12 years ago or whenever that was.

Does every other word in that article really need to be a link?

They can remix all they want. Doesn't change the fact that $12 for a farking whopper meal would be highway robbery if it weren't so goddam hilarious.

It wasn't so bad until they paid youtube for the full 15 second ads.

It's like one drill in one ear, another drill in the other ear, and they meet innthe middle.

A pox on all their houses.

Yeah, you're doing yourself a favor there.  It's pretty awful.  They play it all the time during football games, which is the only time I'm ever exposed to ads.  I've gotten in the habit of muting the commercials, but sometimes I get caught slacking.
