My son had to transfer to PATCO from NJ Transit there and said he was offered pot in his first 5-10 minutes..

Lets see, safety, security, comfortable seating, Halal food options, nonsectarian chapel/space to pray at while waiting for your bus or train.

A robust ventilation system and cleaning regime so it doesn't pick up that piss smell from SEPTA trains.

But, Camden Town is a lovely (if quirky) old... OHHHH - *that* Camden.

I would like transportation out of Camden, destination, don't care.

Played tennis against Camden in HS - they had chain link fence for nets

It's getting better ... but Camden is still just a pimple on Philly.

Better than a midnight bus to Nutley.

I once pleaded, " Hey, Google - map me the fastest way out of New Jersey."  Horribly disappointed to pull in front of this place 25 minutes later

As a guy who grew up less than 3 miles from Camden and who worked at the McDonald's on Mt. Ephraim Ave, I'll take a pass on using that station.

Not concertina wire?

Oh great, another pile on Camden thread...
Getting public input is key to making infrastructure investments. It's worth the planning effort as it's going to be there for a long time.

Oh sorry, I mean, l: Camden is terrible. How dare they try to improve it.

It hasn't gotten stolen and sold as scrap-metal for drug-money? I guess Camden's not so bad after all!

I go to college in Camden so I'm getting a kick out of this thread.

Camden near the courthouseisn't so bad. The drug dealers tend to stick to the 7-11 and just park and block traffic right there. That's the worst.

Born and raised in Jersey.  I've been to Paterson, Newark, Irvington...pretty much every sketchy, skeevy place in the state.  Camden is easily the winner in the Jersey sleaze/skeeve competition.  First thing you notice when you drive into Camden is that everybody you see looks like they just got their ass kicked.

Perhaps it's a center for getting the f*ck out of Camden?  Then, anything'll do!

Camden looks ok when viewed across the river.

Call me crazy, but maybe instead of spending 8-9 figures and a decade building something that inevitably will be a bad design and have engineering problems that leads to having to spend another 8 figures to fix, maybe just hire an army of janitors and cleaning staff for the current one that all live in camden. Then you'd have the cleanest transportation center and be directly stimulating the economy of camden by spending money on people who live there. It'd also be way cheaper.

Maybe... if the only need was cleanliness.
