Subby is a unabashed liar.

There are many, many stupid decisions Elon hasn't reversed

It's almost interesting to see the ultimate embodiment of the "New boss that decides to mess with everything because he thinks he knows how to do it better or cheaper even though he has no understanding of any of it at all" cliche.

I've had bosses like that, but it's been a *long* time ago. Most bosses that weren't absolute lunatics have figured out that the staff at a well-performing business is almost certainly doing things in *nearly* the most efficient way possible, and that any change is probably just going to make it worse for everyone.

For most companies, once the processes are in-place and are decently optimized, the *real* gains come from eliminating bureaucracy and middle-managers that impose road-blocks to make themselves look useful. Basically, give the people actually doing stuff more power to *do stuff* without having to play political games.

Twitter wasn't a company that was "unoptimized". Elon is making it worse. But it's all he knows how to do. By all accounts, Tesla is a mess internally, too.

Also, not only are his new ideas bad, in this case, they've literally already been tried at Twitter and failed.  If he hadn't fired everybody, he could have just asked someone how it went last time.

And SpaceX is basically built to keep Elon away from as many actual decisions as possible, while making him feel like he's actually in charge. The guy is every dumbass, obnoxious boss who bought his position and is constantly breaking shiat because his money means he "knows better" than the people who actually have training and experience.
