I'm old enough to remember when Channel 4 was designed to be the channel for smart people. (Or that was the sales pitch. It was never as high-brow as it pretended to be.)

That said, there are far worse ideas for icebreakers---and if your approach to this sort of thing is dull or off-putting, it's a signal to the other person to cut her losses. If you can't hold your end of this conversation, you'll probably be a nightmare to talk to after breakfast.

And every schoolboy knows that if you breathe a bloody word about your robe and wizard hat, nice girls won't. Not then, not ever.

Based on how they restrict porn over there, I'd imagine British sex to be as bland as their food.

British women, feel free to prove me wrong.

The only way this would be watchable is if it were x rated, and even then it would most likely be like similar shows where they only show brief snippets of the sex edited into the long winded interviews of participants talking about their experience.

Maybe because it is restricted, they are actually wilder over there?

When was that then? It's only just turned 40, and the highest-browed programme it generally shows is probably the first thing it every shew, Countdown.

This year will be the 40th anniversary of Minipops, though, which I never saw live, but sweet farking Christ, who thought that was a good idea, and how close to Epstein were they?

But they've always tried to be edgy, like with The Word and Eurotrash, and more recently, the likes of Naked Attraction.

/Are you maybe mixing it up with BBC Four?
//That did used to be a really high-brow TV channel, full of documentaries about subjects as esoteric as material science and quantum physics, but also stuff like Detectorists.
///Alas, it's pretty much dead these days, only showing repeats and old comedy shows; thanks, Tories.

The great majority of people I've had sex with online have had no idea that we were having sex.

/The same goes for Sear's catalog models in the 80s.
//even the maternity section, if you must know. Boobs are boobs.
