Well that's just plain farking embarrassing
(for our dumb as fark Brexiteers)
thought it had scam written all over it at the time.

That does seem to be an increasingly apt metaphor. Brexiteers were told they were getting unicorns, "project fear" told them unicorns didn't exist. The Tories present a mangy donkey with a dildo on its head in its place, people who point out that's not a unicorn are "remoaners", while the fact the "unicorn" imparts no magical benefits is the EU's fault somehow.

I'm sure it's hilarious to people who don't have a generation of their family whose rights were voted away on a lie by people who didn't live long enough to see the results had their say, while the kids were too young to be heard just before they reached the age where they would enter the voting pool.
