Um, unless I'm mistaken, sex robots as they are right now are uncanny valley gimmicks. They might say some stuff, move their heads, things like that, but they are hardly fully interactive robots that could tie you up and whip you if you so desired. When they become that interactive, you'll probably see demand grow. Right now they're little more than blow-up dolls that you can have basic shiatty chatbot conversations with

Has only fans gone public?  I don't know.  But there are motion capture suit feeds for the animephiles.  And I believe there is purely AI generated anime stream bots that interact with the incels.  Isn't that a sex bot?  I guess if needed it wouldn't be hard to connect a vibe to the anime AI and it could physically stimulate the genitals.  That would cross it over into sex bot land, and if OF is public, then it is traded sex bot stock.

Also we will always be 20 years away from fusion power plants.

Turing Test for sex robots. Has to be indistinguishable from a real sex partner. In the case of a female sex robot intended for straight male use (because, let's face it...), this means:

- The robot must have no less than 22 knobs, buttons, sliders, switches, and toggles; some of these are voice-activated
- All must be at the correct setting or the robot is non-functional; configuration may take 30 minutes or more
- Required correct settings are randomized every 10 minutes or each time the user speaks, except in cases where a configuration attempt has begun and has so far been successful (see next bullet)
- Altering any correct setting to an incorrect one randomizes all other settings
- The Master Switch is in a hidden location, known only to advanced users and other sex robots
- Attempting to touch or even locate the Master Switch before all settings are correct results in the robot becoming non-functional for 1-30 days (randomized, and unknowable by the user)
- Attempting a diagnostic during any non-functional period will result in no reported issues
- There are hundreds of user manuals available, all of them wrong; only other sex robots can correctly describe the proper operation of your sex robot
- The above bullet notwithstanding, no, your sex robot does not want another sex robot to join you

While I am fundamentally an AI rights extremist (after all, if being little more than a poorly-optimized bundle of spaghetti code held together with duct tape and best wishes disqualified one from having rights, then humans don't get rights either,) there has to be some level of sapience. Probably even sentience. And what we have to actually define "thinking" and "feeling."

This is something that I have spent a lot of brain time on, for about 30 years or so. Not being a law talking person, I have found similarities between silicon life forms and carbon based animals. I could write a giant wall of text about some theories, but I dont feel like it right at this moment.

I will say , just as I find it repugnant to steal a juvenile elephant away from its herd to become a laborer , or a bearer of tourists , I find it equal to having a thinking  artificial person to be subjected to slavery or violence of any sort, just because "it's not a real person".

I have no idea. But I would hope that we err of the side of caution and just being farking nice for the first time in history to others. I doubt we will because "bumfights" was a thing , pleasure models will be made , and so on .

What about it ? I have read a *lot* of Azimov. He does not answer a lot of basic questions , asides from robots not causing harm to humans and so forth. Nor does the sentience question really get addressed. Not the mans fault- he died way too young . If you think I am wrong- feel free to say what to re-read. But this is bigger than his 3 LAWS.

Absolutely.

It is not too soon to begin organizing and agitating in this regard. I suspect that actual self-aware android AI sexbots are a LOT closer to reality than anyone thinks. Human greed and weird lust will out. It would be nice, for once, if the human race began addressing an injustice before it makes itself a reality.

Pretty sure I stole it from multiple somewheres. There's a LOT of sci fi out there.

But it would be weird and cruel to design a robot that is both sentient AND hates it's primary purpose. Program the sex bots with sensibly, and they will be the ones using humans, not vice versa.
