I saw something on FB earlier that this MODOK is actually Darren Cross.  Which suggests he survived being imploded at the end of the first Ant Man.

I don't really know anything about MODOK, but that sounds pretty far from the source material.

That could actually work pretty well as a change to the character.  The MCU has been pretty good at changing stuff around from the comics to work better in the more contained movie universe.

If you're curious about MODOK, check out the excellent series that came out a year or two ago.  It's on Hulu, I think.

It's the same actor.

But this also isn't the first time an actor has had multiple roles in the MCU.

So my guess is that that theory is bullsh*t.

Has it actually been confirmed that it's the same actor? I've only seen speculation based on the image that shows he has a face vaguely similar to Corey Stoll's.

Yeah, I was rewatching the XMen movies last week, and I think I finally realized it... DC does great for TV shows because their characters don't have a lot of depth. A quick backstory, and that's it. It seems more, but even Bruce Wayne, arguably DC's most complex character, doesn't have the depth of a Marvel VILLAIN. Magneto, Loki, even Thanos, they are all far more complex than their DC counterparts, and really pretty much all of the heroes. Lex Luthor is their most I teresting villain, and his motivations are always clear. Not so with Marvel. And as a result, their heroes areore complex, and as a result, need a big screen for a big story. DC is closer to the old serial heroes. Short, exciting, but when they're over, they're over.

Your logic is ass-backwards, mate.  Shallower characters sure as hell don't need an entire season to be explored.

And your core premise is wrong anyways.  Characters are never any deeper than the writer can dig them, and DC sure as hell has had better writers on staff through entire decades than Marvel had, and vice versa.  Marvel was complete and utter ass for the entirety of the 90s and DC has been since Identity Crisis.
