Elon Musk is used to facing critics, haters and detractors. He even relishes these battles.
Sometimes he provokes his supposed enemies. The Techno King, as he's known at Tesla  (TSLA) - Get Free Report, likes to turn his opponents' attacks back on them with counterattacks. The serial entrepreneur is never as lethal as when he is on defense.

He knows their angles of attack. Certainly some of these criticisms annoy him, but he always finds the response to repel them.

He can also count on his legions of fans, many of whom are die-hard Tesla fans. They believe in his promises of transforming the world and beyond our civilization. They applaud his iconoclastic side and laud him as a genius when he announces a new product.

If you can tell me what "transforming the world beyond our civilization" means then I'll agree that Elon is a 3D chessmaster who is quick with the rapier and rapier wit alike.

Journalist refering to critics of our billionaire overlords as haters
We are probably not too far from journalists saying that anyone who isn't rich is just jealous
Or maybe they'll soon be saying Musk pwned his critics

Meh.  He's a tech "journalist".  Tech media exists to reprint press releases and tell its readers what they want to hear:  a fantastical future is right around the corner.  Tech media let Elizabeth Holmes carry on her scam for years while actual scientists were saying "this one drop of blood thing is a fantasy.,"  Tech media reprinted endless Uber flying taxi press releases while aviation journals were saying "this will never happen - people have tried to cheapen aviation for decades and it never works because aviation is just expensive."

Tech media lets Elon promise robotaxis and Cybertrucks coming next year for every year and they never say "Hey, you made that promise last year and the year before that."
