My wife's hometown in rural Illinois pretty much went full Trump. Obviously, this includes friends of her and the son of one posted on 1/6 that he was there. Where "there" was exactly isn't clear. His mom posted how proud she was of him. He was under age then and now holds a military position with security clearance.

Tick tock.

Which states have the most residents charged?

Florida leads by far with at least 104 accused or convicted rioters.

I really miss the grinning idiot who kept saying that everyone who took part in Jan 6 were peaceful individuals and nothing would ever happen to anyone who attended

Wonder if that's why they quit fark (I'm guessing he got arrested for his part being part of the peaceful tourists 😂)

The most prominent organizer of the actual attack, Stewart Rhodes, was literally found guilty of seditious conspiracy and faces 60 years in prison.

Again, huh?

He's literally the leader of an international terrorist network. By all accounts he's the person who planned and organized the attack on the capital, and he had planned for it to go much, much further.

There may be bigger names out there, but I don't think there is anyone more responsible for the violence we saw on 1/6.

Stewart Rhodes technically didn't participate. He was politically connected enough for his group to be providing security to Roger Stone. He was found guilty of seditious conspiracy, obstructing an official proceeding and tampering with documents. (And they're not done investigating/prosecuting the Oath Keepers yet.)

For every 1000 little-shiat red-hatted minions temporarily inconvenienced by the consequences of their own actions...
...another 3000 new little-shiat red-hatted minions join in.

We knew the cannon fodder like Zip Tie Guy and the Braveheart wannabe would see court dates because they can be visible examples, but what about holding those responsible....RESPONSIBLE. It's a running joke around Fark to point at some dirt stupid moron getting twelve hours community service as some sort of win for justice. We do see this happen but those of us with an IQ over room temperature know this is doing nothing to prevent a future coup unless there are actual consequences for the people that planned it.

And since many that helped plan it are Leo's we know the odds of any real justice being served are zero and this absolutely will happen again. Next time with potentially smarter leaders.

Drawing a line between "Come to DC on Jan 6" and 1000 idiots breaking down the door is not the legal slam dunk you think it is, alas.

To put this logic into perspective, it's the same bullshiat argument used to railroad the Chicago Seven in 1968. "You told people to come, and then there was a huge riot; that proves you intended for the riot to happen."

It was bullshiat then and its bullshiat now. You need to bring something more to the table. I want to see Trump swing too, and I want Miller next to him; so make sure the gallows is solid.

There seems to be this weird desire to believe that J6 was a bunch of people who got riled up at a political rally, and then spontaneously rioted their way into the capitol building.

That wasn't at all what it was; it was a pre-planned military-style attack that used a large gathering of people as cover. The goal wasn't to shiat on Nancy Pelosi's desk and break stuff, it was to launch a precision strike to decapitate the federal government. There was even an enormous cache of weapons at a nearby hotel that they planned to truck in once they were in control of the capitol.

If anything, the "rioters" prompted a security response that ultimately prevented the plot from being successful.

I don't know why this narrative has persisted, but the J6 committee has established pretty definitively that it wasn't the case.

But if you want to know
How I really feel
Get the cameras rolling
Get the action going
Baby you know my love for you is real
Take me where you want to
Me and my heart you steal

How do you like it? How do you like it?

And yet anyone near the Top of This Conspiracy has yet to pay any price, except for Steve Bannon, who's gotten 4 months for contempt of some subpoena he disregarded.
There is a good argument for taking that leadership, (from the Cheeto dusted incontinent SchitGibbon and his culpable family down through the Mike Flynns, Ginny Thomas and Sydney Powell into the bowels of the conspiracy with the likes of Jason Miller, Stephan Miller and Kayleigh McEneny,) putting them all on trial, and assign the appropriate guilt, with the top tier being hung or shot  publicly, in full ignominy in front of the American Media, as is foretold in the original documents.

If that results in some kind of Civil revolt from that side of the political spectrum...so be it

Gyrfalcon: "Come to DC on Jan 6"

He did not just say "Come to DC on Jan 6"

He literally said at his rally 1/6 "We're going to the Capitol after this, I'm marching with you, and you have to fight, if you don't fight we're not gonna have a country anymore"

He then ran back to the White House to hide since he had already lit the match and just had to sit back and watch his cult do his bidding.

Not good enough. It's already been admitted by security and military that if the crowd was predominantly black they would've opened fire and killed them.
That's what should have happened to these bastards. They should have all been mowed down and killed, burned in a big pile in front of the capitol building, and their ashes dumped in the Atlantic.
Good riddance.

Honestly, if a bunch of Black people stormed and broke into the Capitol, I'd expect them to be shot.

The bigger problem is that they would have been shot and killed long before they ever got that close, and indeed long before they ever did a single violent thing.
