It's funny... you go through life thinking your problems matter... and then you read articles like this and you realize some people have *real* problems.

It's humbling, really.

The look of the product is inconsistent because it's organic, so these folks assumed the 'formula' changed, altering its potency. Anyone get out the test strips and, ya-know, check this little theory??? No, of course not... This is 21st century social media - the people who are experts in the health 'benefits' of drinking straight vinegar are also capable of replacing mass spectrography with their own keen eyes!

Or just read teh wiki:
"Paul Chappuis Bragg (February 6, 1895 - December 7, 1976) was an American alternative health food advocate..."

In other words, he was a charlatan.

Sure, but you can't listen to Wikipedia in the car. 😁 And  there's more in the ep about all his lies, and his "daughter." But ymmv.

Apple cider vinegar is also the core component of the only acceptable BBQ sauce.

My bestie was dealing with a kidney stone and we read up on natural ways to help the situation.  Two tablespoons of ACV in 8 oz. of water, seemed to make a difference.  He'd been doing everything the doctor recommended for about a week and nothing was helping, but within a day or so of adding the ACV to his water regimen, the pain was gone and the scan showed the stone gone.

So the acidic level made enough of a change for him.  He said he couldn't really taste a difference, but as bad as he was hurting, he would have guzzled battery acid for relief.

That and a decent BBQ recipe are the only two things I use it for though.

Daily apple cider vinegar consumers were the precursor to anti-vaxxers.

Anything fermented is going to provide benefits to your digestion, but it doesn't cure cancer, diabetes, or being an insufferable idiot.

Yes it means made of living material. And living material is subject to variations in color and consistency, resulting in a different looking end product.

I do not mean it in the mercantile buzzword fashion, smartass.

Not to mention that it is made from apples which can change in color depending on the % of the varieties used. Some apples produce darker juice, some lighter, and some (like Cortlandts) produce juice with a pinkish hue.

I am a huge fan of ACV. Can't make a good hot bacon dressing for spinach salad without it !! I also make a cooked salad dressing that I use instead of mayo for things like potato salad and devilled eggs. It used ACV and has a nice sweet/sour flavor because of it.

There is a possibility that vinegar can help with diabetes but it is still in the correlation category. Apparently some studies have indicated that adding vinegar to the diet can help lower blood glucose BUT it is still in the study phase and the "active ingredient" is acetic acid which is in all vinegars. In other words, people worried about their blood sugar should scrap the high calorie creamy salad dressings and go with a simple vinaigrette. Drinking ACV straight will do nothing for you and will give many people heartburn.

Sometimes I walk by the salad dressing section at the grocery store and laugh.

People honestly pay $4 for something you can whip together in a few minutes.

But you are right on creamy dressings. Most ranches are based on a combination of mayo or buttermilk and sour cream.

But his vinegar and amino acid sauce (yeah that's a thing, no innuendo intended) are really really tasty.

The vinegar cult is whatever. We all hate when our favorite brands start cutting costs and reducing quality.

The company was created by Paul Bragg in 1912 and he apparently lied about his age in order for people to attribute his young looks to his products and strangely combined wellness with Christianity, associating sickness with sinning.
