Hmm, this one is actually hard to gauge.

If he knew when to be quiet, he wouldn't have made a lot of the fantastical claims that drove the creation of his parish and subsequently the share price.

That's why he's being hit all at once, as the lies are finally unravelling and the investigations are rolling onto each other.

If he didn't say the stupid things originally, then his net worth wouldn't have hit such a high peak, and he wouldn't have collected so many devotees to spread his voice and deeds.

The bolded part was the al-Rumayyan. Elon was going off at him because he wasn't a yes man, Elon doesn't see the relationship, only whether people are agreeing with him in the short term, but Saudi's (and Asian's) are all about the relationship and the long term.

Mr. McCracken asked if he knew how and when to keep his mouth shut, not if he had always kept it shut.

The twitter offer was were it seemed to all started unraveling. He had just shut the fark up right before the he would likely still be the highest net worth person in the world.

The Saudis can fark him over simply by calling him a liar. Essentially making what Elon did illegal, and earning, more enemies, who lost a lot of money.

Their market cap also tripled over a two year period, before falling back to the same level over the past six months. They're not dead yet (but I bought F anyway).
