Madl has got a message for the guy who didn't secure his barge. "You need to own up to your responsibility and take care of this. It damaged our seawall that needs to be repaired. Just own up to your responsibilities. You're a business owner. What's that going to say about you? In the future doing business with people here in this area? I doubt they're gonna want to do business with you."

That may be logical, but most people would use hydraulic jacks, as many heads will agree.

WINK News tracked down the man in charge f the barge and sent him a text asking when he would remove it.  He said, "It's pretty simple. A natural disaster happened, and no one has availability to get it yet." Then he added, "It'll be getting moved in two weeks."

I hope she has a case. I don't know how far "An Act of God" can shield this guy. He is obviously a real Prick and he should be made to pay for her damages. Of course we will probably be the ones to pay, aren't we always?

CSB: When u was a kid, say around '78 or so, there was a dam failure in Rexburg Idaho, it's one of those life lesson things on earthen dams, yadda yadda...

A few years ago I worked with a guy from Rigby Idaho, about 13 miles away. His grandfather walked out the day after things got insane to find a barn on his property. An entire barn had been uprooted, intact(except for the foundation), and ended up intact, on this property. His grandfather tried to find the owner, never did, so he used it for storage. It wasn't safe for anything else, of course, and my buddy said there wee cable supports and everything. But he used that barn for like 35 years before it really became TOO unstable for even intermittent use.

I don't ever find shiat. 😔

Sounds like the barge owner does indeed need to take some personal responsibility since he is ducking questions on the damage the unsecured barge caused.
