This is the future we have to look forward to with electric cars. Tesla is easily the worst offender, but it's not just Tesla. Anything with a battery is essentially a ticking time bomb. It's why they're often banned from covered parking. The "EV movement" is 100% astroturf propelled forward by hype, loose monetary policy, and propaganda. In our hurry to ban gasoline vehicles (yes, even hybrids) there's been no consideration for safety, energy security, infrastructure, consumer needs and desires, or anything else that makes our current system work.

A lot of Farkers who lust after Teslas but can't afford the real thing think the Chinese will swoop in and sell them a bargain EV. That may happen, but the number of deaths will be astronomical.
