I've met Gary several times.  Nice enough guy, but just like a lot of other folks I meet in my line of work, this is exactly what they say to each other in the country club locker room.  Some of his radio crew come to our fundraiser golf tournament and I guaran-farking-tee you I'll hear "he wasn't lying" at least a half-dozen times.

He's been in the job for 30 years, plus another 20 at other places before that.  If anything, they'll bring him back for the ACC tournament and give him a retirement sendoff, then find him a cushy gig with the Wolfpack Club.

Mostly it's people drawing attention to "illegal aliens", rather than the context:

"Down among all the undocumented immigrants in El Paso" isn't much better.

If so, I got news for this guy. They are not here illegally, not matter how much you dislike them. They are doing their process by the book.
