The thought of James Corden as Sam...eww.

TBH, I can't imagine another actor besides Sean Astin in the role.  He was perfect.

He's great in everything though. His role in Stranger Things tore me up.

Just think, James, if you'd consulted literally anyone on the planet besides the agent blowing smoke up your ass about your chances to snag a role in LOTR, you wouldn't have wasted a whole afternoon. You could've been folding laundry or working on your... whatever that thing is you have in place of a personality.

imagine ruining the best character in the trilogy by casting that talentless hack.

How is this guy a thing? He sucks in everything he does. Who likes him? WHY???

Couldn't stand him when I first saw him Dr. Who and I've never been able to figure out how the hell he landed a talk show gig with his farking shiat personality.

Peter Jackson not casting him as Samwise makes up for King Kong.  Gonna need a lot more for The Hobbit, though.

Well I'm missing something here because I just don't understand the hate for James Corden. No I'm not a fan, per say - I don't watch his talk show. But I certainly don't hate the guy. And I enjoyed both his appearances on Doctor Who.

He probably sounded too biatchy when he said "PO TAY TOES".

The only way I can think of as to how he got the The Late Late Show gig is he had blackmail material on the right people.

This, and the restaurant rant. And I hate his stupid face and accent.

Wait, was he cast as Tom Bombadil and edited out of the movie completely?

It's bad enough we have our own Jimmy Fallon...Do we really need Britain's Jimmy Fallon too?!

It's easy to see why he wasn't cast in Lord of the Rings. He's terrible. But why wasn't he in the Hobbit? He's terrible!

TL: DR version - he's an asshole who thinks everyone should tolerate his BS.

Stormaggedon, Dark Lord of All, was his only worthwhile contribution.. And Stormy didn't even like him.

I have only only ever heard of the guy here on fark.
The moment I saw a picture of the guy, with that squinty smug biatch face of his, I was like "Yeah, I get it."

James Corden or Sheldon Cooper.

Nepo Baby Sean Astin nailed that role though. I can't imagine Corden not playing it for cheap laughs all the way through.

Well I still don't.

If there is one thing that 2022 has taught us, is that there are lots of so-called humans who are far, far, far more worthy of the vitriol being heaped upon James Corden than James Corden.

Having seen Lesbian Vampire Killers, I think the casting director made the right move.

I don't hate him. I just don't think he's particularly funny or a good actor. :)

I actually CAN see Corden as the right type... but not a good enough actor.  The insincerity would have bled through.
