And how long before they can keep it going before people start asking why they haven't managed to produce a full-size prototype.

This project is absolute genius.

If you can't see it, I sure can. There is literally no chance in hell they'll ever raise the full $18bn, this means they'll never need to create a functional system and can always blame the inevitable failure of the project on a 'lack of funds' whilst they squirrel away investment capital they get while construction of a sham 'token' section is underway.

And it's all totally legal.

There's nothing wrong, conceptually, with partial vacuum train tubes.  I mean ffs we had pneumatic tube networks for documents a hundred goddamned years ago.

Of all the places it *could* make sense in Canada it would be Edmonton to Calgary.  Here's hoping it's not vapourware.
