I'm sure if you thought they were trying to cut your nuts off,  you'd do the same.

I have a mental image of this bezerk terror pooch (aka "Schnookums") attempting to dismember
people in the lab with a thermometer sticking out from it's butt.

Our dog is kind and gentle with members of his 'pack'. He also listens and responds to commands when outside and around strangers. But when you try to take him into an enclosed space, especially with other aninals, he becomes a berserker. So he gets a little doggy valium before each vet visit.

And the bitten were taken to the hospital and caught Covid and died.
Merry Christmas.
The end.

I'm sorry,

I'm thinking too much about this, well, the euthansia part, anyway.

While this critter is whirling around Tazmanian Devil style, or say Batman in the Arkham games, doing a tornado of "spin, bite, chomp, leap, munch, munch, chew", how was this act of mercy accomplished?

Was it by repeated overhanded axe blows, a brave vet forcing a 5cc's syringe of sweet release into it's hide while it's occupied, or you know, the more mundane 'Murrican type of "problem solved" action.

is that where you get it?  I thought it came from a lab in Wuhan.  just in case, I will avoid both.

That is where my dad got it. He was vaxxed and 24 hours after entering the hospital for a fracture they called and said he had it.
He died a month later from covid. Both of us are/were retired and as lockdown aware as people can be. It sucked i couldn't visit him and him with serious memory issues yelling at me on the phone every day to get him out and back home.

He found out that he was not, in fact, there to get tutored.

Oh, and yes you can get covid and test positive for it in 24 hours. That is about the first thing i asked the hospital.

An article on patch.com says medical professionals did the euthanasia, so it's unlikely the dog met a violent end. There are ways to control an angry dog so it can be sedated with an intramuscular injection, and then the EU proceeds in the usual humane fashion.

Sorry for your loss. The same happened with my husband's uncle. He was being treated for a fall he took at home, got COVID in the hospital and never made it out. It was last summer and the visiting policy wasn't as harsh as it was prior to the vaccines being available, so his only daughter was able to be with him when he passed. Just a tragedy though.

That sucks.

We had the world's nicest cat, except at the vet. There, he was a terror. But still, big leather gloves and a towel was enough to get the job done.

Granted, cat is slightly smaller than large dog, but it's still sad it went that way.

my dad died a month after he got vaxxed too.  from Sepsis.   then almost everyone at the funeral wore masks, we don't know who showed up to pay their respects.
