He's my all-time favorite wrestler. I cannot do anything but respect a man who can do the same gimmick for 40 years and still be as over as he is. He's also a big old teddy bear on Facebook. Very neat person. Also he's been perfectly fine with interviews, while keeping basic kayfabe. Yes, it's all dead but he does'nt treat it as an expose, but as a history. I would love to hear his side of the story though on the infamous Sheik drug bust.

The former Royal Rumble winner quickly apprehended the intruder by holding him at gunpoint with his pistol and waiting for the police to arrive. He eventually realized that the intruder was trying to seek refuge from a different legal matter at a nearby home, and while fearing for his life the intruder tried to enter multiple houses before hopping Duggan's fence and going through the front door in order to hide. Duggan did not press charges, and while recapping the story to Wrestling Inc.

Not to take away from the nostalgia this story is certain to generate, but god damn, shiat is getting grim out here.

Jim Duggan has long been a personal favorite, as he repeated the line to me he used in a wrestling History commentary "Sheik and I got caught smoking pot...Superfly MURDERED HIS GIRLFRIEND, and got in less trouble than us!"

He does talk about that, should be easy to find on youtube.  From what I remember really it was more derailing to the iron sheik, Hacksaw was back in a year or so and still just as over as ever. I had the foam 2x4 as a kid!

And yes, he's great. The clip of him thanking the people in the cancer center after his recent remission brought a tear to my eye.

My 1st live wrestling event was a WWF house show where the main event was Hacksaw vs King Harley Race. He was so over it was insane. Glad he's safe and doing ok after his cancer treatments

(Andre is excluded from this because he was just freakishly big. Jake had wonderful things to say about Andre as well.)

Hulk Hogan was 10 feet tall. He once won a match against 50 men. He can shoot prayers and vitamins out of his arse.

Hacksaw fought cancer, and traveled with a coked up Iron sheik so a home intruder doesn't stand much of a chance... but I regret the only chance I got to see him wrestle in person was in a 8 man tag team match with Virgil at WrestleMania 8.

/Tough guy.

My good friend recently passed from liver cancer. In his final week, one of his friends bought a Cameo by his favorite wrestler Mick Foley, who is awesome! He started it by singing a few bars of the 12 Days of Christmas for no good reason other than he loves Christmas songs any time of year. It was an amazing gift that sent my friend over the moon! No reason for this story other than Mick Foley is all sorts of awesome.
