I'm inclined to believe that most of the gems have been harvested. However, there may be a story or two that are embarrassing to folks like the US Secret Service and Capitol Police.

I'm with you in that we've probably seen most of the important bits, but seeing them in context, and corroborated by other testimony could be interesting.

I hope there is a comprehensive timeline of who was doing what, and where they were... just to lay everything out once and for all - fully supported by texts/emails/testimony

We'll know who has something to hide by who 'edits' the public-release version

I'm guessing their ultimate recommendation is to pretty please not vote for Republicans in future elections.

No wonder Trump has been freaking out so badly lately.

The Jan. 6 committee's big reveal hasn't happened yet

This must mean something huge is about to drop. I'm thinking...

The 160-page executive summary, which precedes a final panel report set for release as soon as Wednesday,...

Why are we still greenlighting Politico links?

And hundreds of hours of Doomsaying.

2022-12-20 1:26:35 PM
We got him, boys!  These hundreds of hours of testimony are just what the DOJ needs to bring charges against Trump.  The hundreds of hours of testimony already presented to the public just aren't quite enough, but this will surely bring the full might of the law down upon Trump and hold him accountable for the many crimes he committed in plain sight of the entire world.  All we need to do now is be patient and trust the process.

Why thankfully? Congress has already referred over criminal charges to the DOJ. Trump should be in jail right now.

Please along with Trump let it be proof that let the DOJ charge a bunch of Rep congress members.

Maybe the big reveal will be in the copy of the report you can buy from Ari Melber with a forward he wrote all by himself.

Was really hoping to see money trails and communications between those hosting the Jan 6 rally, the then-White House, and the right-wing groups to see a focus on the coordination of the events.  Maybe I missed?

In my hope of hopes this will at the very least expose this current strain of Republicans as the fascist un democratic authoritarians that they are. This country seems to live or die by a squishy center who don't really pay attention to what's going on until it hits the front of the news cycle. The only way to keep them from chasing the next authoritarian shiny object it to expose the very glaring difference between what they say they believe and what they actually do.

Nothing is bigger than attempting insurrection against the US to overturn an election. We've known that for nearly 2 years.

Trump will never see prison and we will see another, better coordinated, attempt at democracy because we went soft on the fascists.

Not thankfully about TFG.

Thankful that in this country the cops can't just throw in jail and "work out the charges while you're awaiting trial"

You know thankful that we don't live in a totalitarian dictatorship.

Oh yes. Provide all the details of which Trumpers ratted out or were at least disloyal to which other Trumpers.

The Trumpists can hardly reemerge if their movement is riddled with traitors.

There are probably too many wor a few "bad apples" to be scapegoated for all of the problems.

C'mon, man. I'm not saying he won't be indicted, because obviously I don't know.  But pretending that anything the J6 committee releases, or the contents of his tax returns, will have any bearing on that final outcome--that's just silly.  DOJ has plenty to work with already, if they want.

Not really thankful when wealthy people get to live in a non-totalitarian dictatorship while non-wealthy do. How about we have a system where the wealthy have to go through the same criminal justice system we do?

An American president will never spend a moment in a jail cell.

His lackeys should probably be sweating that lack of a blanket pardon from him though.

Knowing it and proving all elements of a specific crime in court beyond a reasonable doubt are different things.  A lot of bits of evidence that the Committee drummed up isn't admissible in court due to it being hearsay or due to the way it was obtained. I understand the cynicism, but I think the DOJ will charge him. But they can't do it until they make sure the case is airtight and extremely well-corroborated, even without some of the stuff that emerged from the hearings.

Just understand this.
The Republicans hate the America they live in.
They pretend America was better back when it didn't have ithe problems it does now.
The pretend America didn't have problems back in the old days.
America has always had problems.  MKany , far worse than now.

You may ask: When were the old days?
They will say when they were younger.

If you really press them, they will tell you it was when they were kids.

Back when Adults protected them from having to deal with bad issues.

The GOP members all still pretend they are kids and want to legislate away the issues they don't want to deal with, rather than adulting and dealing with it.

That is why they will support criminals that will promise to deal with the bad things, even if it means they are robbed blind.
