Reckon some good corn whiskey wouldn't be too hard to sell...

It's almost like people don't miss hangovers - weird

Good for the coffers; last month, our county voted in a local tax on both recreational and medicinal weed.

Is there anything else to do in Montana? Doesn't Ted Turner own like 70% of the state or something?

How about milk? Shaky?

Well, I'm pretty sure they tax weed more.  I mean how much tax do you pay to catch a buzz whether it's cannabis or alcohol?   I don't care to calculate it.

I thought Montana was shilling for Guinness.

OH HELL YES UNCLE CARL

Dude legally makes booze in a little two room building in his yard. Swears like hell. Outgoing, loves to chat, used to run a wolf rescue. The whiskey in the photo is 120 proof.

I should call him or stop in. Get myself a Christmas gift.

I'd be pretty suspicious of lower proof being any sort of prohibition style - high alcohol content by volume is a plus when you have to illegally transport and store shiat on a regular basis

This is great. Montana will turn 'blue' in 8 years.

Perfect.

Bad year to be there, if you wanted to see the park.

[more of the csb]: We went to Yellowstone the first week of June, stayed for 5 days and left thru Bozeman on Friday. The next Monday is when the sturm und drang hit YNP, Gardiner, etc. We literally missed it by 72 hours. The other kinda cool thing was that when we went it was right before schools let out for the summer, so we avoided the massive throngs of crowds.

Yellowstone is truly awe-inspiring.

Every bump-in-the-road rural Montana village has it's own saloon/grill with a liquor store on one side and a church on the other. No one can stand to live in Montana in the winter if not a heavy drinker.

lurkey: MT growers will be just as unregulated and greedy as all the other states' pot industries.
Any bets on MT's total (declared) surplus by Dec 2023?
How soon before they all hit up congress for farm subsidies?

You must be kidding! All of that weed revenue will find it's way into Republican PACs and then on to the DJT Defense Fund. Not a penny will benefit residents unless they are cattle/coal barons.

Sweet. I'm glad you missed the snafu and the crowds and had a great time. I saw the flood damage over in Red Lodge east of the park, and it was incredible to behold.
