I think once you hit 80, your presence is a gift that could be rescinded, so don't make that act a keystone. You've had a good run, if you make it through a few days of shooting good, but don't get into any new autobiography longer than a Maron interview.

Funny you bring up autobiography and Maron up in the same sentence. Have any of his guests ever gotten to talk about themselves?

This is probably the first "famous show actor dies" headline where I recognize the actor(ress). Usually it's just some one off coffee clerk or something.

Parks and Recreation, maybe more than any other show, really made great use of a  cast of side-characters that cemented the feel of a weird hometown in middle America.

Like the 2 above.  Insane characters, used very well and limited or they would've been obnoxious.

I love that show.

When they announced a pandemic special, I had a list of which characters needed to make a cameo, and they nailed it. Jamm, Jean Ralphio, Perd, Joan Calamezzo, Dennis Feinstein.

Even the guy that owns the pawn shop fits in a few limited spots.  I don't even know that guy's name.

/Tammy2 may still be my favorite set of cameos

Herman Lerpiss. He's more of a Jack Johnson guy.

Yeah, they really used The Simpsons model and built an entire community around the show.
