During the pandemic watching Noah every day made me laugh and gave me hope.

Good luck to him and whatever comes next

He probably wants to go back on tour, doing stand-up comedy shows.

He is a bit beyond that don't you think?

I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts on Jon Baptiste

He's probably going to record some albums?

Didn't Trevor Noah go on tour last year, when the Daily Show was on break?

Being a stand up comic isn't a criticism.

I haven't really watched TDS in a few years, but that was funny and sweet. I would watch religiously if Ronnie Chang got the lead chair though

Ronny Chieng

It would also be nice if I spelled his name right.

I wanted at least two more years of Craig Kilborn, but he was a real prick who got himself fired.

I liked the fake news element, which was a thing we could say before that was a term.

I was really worried when he left and they announced Jon Stewart has his replacement.  But a while back I saw on old Kilborn clip and wondered how anyone actually watched that crap.

I was never a big Trevor Noah fan.  I think he was forthright and sincere and is probably a really good guy, but I just couldn't get into it somehow.  Maybe the format is just worn out.

As for a replacement, well, I've never seen him get political but I wonder how Ryan George would do?   His back and forth with himself bits might lend themselves well to politics.

How about no.  I like Ryan George right were he is.

In other news...  I really like Trevor Noah.  I'm sorry to see him go.  And I am interested to see what happens next.  They can't just put someone in that chair and expect it to work the same way.  They will have to revamp the whole thing.

Might be good.  Might be bad.  We don't know...

I think Lewis Black and Stewart were the only people to make a living being angry and shouting at the audience.

Chris Rock, Chris Titus and maybe Mike Birbiglia can pull off that upset yelling for entertainment that is somewhat believable. They have the mannerism for it, like Black and Stewart. But Trevor was kinda disappointed Dad energy. And John Oliver is so British, it's sarcastic.

It's a fine line to walk between frothing Rush Limbaugh rage and SNL type of "angry", where you know they are mugging for your benefit.

Trevor's stand-up is pretty good.

Good riddance.  He's probably a nice guy, but he has the charisma of Teri Hatcher's boobs.

Ms. Hatcher's boobs are quite a lot.

I really, really tried.

But he's better as a standup than show host.

After Jon Stewart, it was like going from Steve to Joe on Blue's Clues: Steve, like Jon, believed.

The Daily Show became the Try Hard Show.

Trevor had his moments. Good luck, funny man.

I mean, they already did exactly that for Stewart and Noah after Kilborn got fired.

Frankly Jordan Klepper is the best of the correspondents, but there's zero chance of them going back to another middle aged white guy as host.
