FWIW: Last time a team w/ its starting QB and a 80%+ win pct was a dog vs. a team who was under .500 SU in December or later? 2004.  The 9-2 Falcons, Michael Vick were 1.5-pt underdogs in Tampa vs. the 4-7 Bucs:

Tampa Bay shut out the Falcons 27-0 in that game to make their record 5-7 and then promptly lost the rest of their games that season to finish at 5-11.

I'll put $100 on the Vikes because their ability to win by luck this year is off the f*cking charts.

Also, Justin Jefferson.

The lions offense is firing on all cylinders and the defense is finally looking decent, plus people are waiting on the inevitable vikings collapse. Sunday seems like a good time for it to start, since I think they have hemorrhaged yards on defense the last few games. I wonder if this will be Jameson's breakout game.

In that game all you had to do was isolate Vick... long time ago, but I don't think they had many pieces other then him at that point.

With this game, if you take out JJ and Kirk Cousinf*cker, they still have the run game which, not the greatest it has ever been, but two fantastic rushers.

Still might be the best game on the slate this weekend. Hoping they just let it fly on both sides.

Detroit definitely made out well in that trade. When Goff is not playing like Goof, he can ball with the best of them.

Anyone who witnessed Matt Patricia and Mac Jones look like a competent tandem against the Vikings defense a few weeks ago would be very wary about where this team may find itself eventually.

Vegas doesnt dictate anything, money does.

All the line does is try to keep the betting even to both teams.  Vegas gets its 10% on winning payouts.
If too many people put money on the lions, the line shifts to get people to bet on the vikings.

... which is never sustainable in the NFL.

The inverse is The Raiders, who lost every close game in the first half of the season and are suddenly, MAGICALLY, turning it around now that the balls are bouncing their way.

Everyone in MN is just waiting for the moment to panic.

Although I am kicking myself for not putting money on the Vikings winning the North. I think I saw they opened at +500 and fell to +300 and I got greedy trying to find a better number.

The Vikings defense has been shreaded by just about everyone this year. It looks like a prevent defense from the opening kickoff. Weird. They can stop 1st and goal from inside the 5, but are completely hapless against 3rd and 23.

I think Detroit is the best red zone team in the nation right now in terms of how often they score when in the red zone. Should be fun!

Mike Valenti, a notorious critic of the Detroit Lions, insists on his sports radio show yesterday that the Lions will beat the Vikings.

This is a very common misconception.   Lots of games have lopsided bets v money aka public v sharps aka Pros v Joes. The line doesn't move because if it did the pros would hammer it.

I am a Vikings fan and I expect the Vikings to lose, it's at Detroit and they beat the Vikings at home last year. In 2 or 3 years the Lions will probably win the division.
