Are Horses and Religion, as well as Horses in Religion (cool name for a Country/Western REM Tribute Band) still acceptable topics?

Not the worst policy. I have a personal rule to not discuss those things in work or at a bar

Here at Facebook, we want you to think of us as family, and spend all of your time here with us.

Wait...not like that!

This is California.  It doesn't occur to anyone to talk about religion.

Sounds inconsistent with their diversity goals https://diversity.fb.com/

Because in America, anything not cis white protestant male is political...

Isn't this, like, basic etiquette?

Lish: Isn't this, like, basic etiquette?

Exactly. One of the guy I work with is a fundamentalist Catholics with some views about politics that are as right as possible without falling into fascism. And despite my disagreeing with him politically on almost any subject, I like working with him because he's dependable and competent. The only time he speaks his personal views is in acceptable occasions, such as after-work occasions that are not officially related to work.
